Carnelian is a light orange to reddish-orange form of Chalcedony. It gets its colour from iron inclusions. Carnelian can be an orange Agate if it is banded. If it does not have layered bands in its formation, then it is an orange Chalcedony. Carnelian is famous for several major metaphysical energies. It is a yang stone, full of powerful life energies. Carnelian is found all over the world, but there are big deposits in Brazil, India, Russia, Egypt, Uruguay, Madagascar, USA, and Germany. Carnelian is the birthstone for the zodiac sign of Virgo (August 23 – September 22).

In these beautiful faceted Carnelian beads (3mm) you can find the wide colour orange variety of Carnelian. I completed this necklace with a lovely Opal pendant set in Rhodium coated 925 Sterling Silver, hanging size approx. 2.8cm long. You can wear the necklace with, or without the pendant. The necklace has a Rhodium coated 925 Sterling Silver clasp and in between beads, length 45cm.
