Aquamarine is a semi precious gem from the Beryl family, the same family as Emerald. It is famous for its sea blue like colours. Aquamarine is famous for its excellent clarity and transparency. Its name was derived from the Latin word seawater. Major sources of Aquamarine include Brazil, Madagascar, Russia, Pakistan and the USA.  Aquamarine is the birthstone for the month of March.

Mother of Pearl is a hard iridescent substance, mostly calcium carbonate, that forms the inner layer of the shells of certain molluscs, such as the oyster. A protection stone, Mother of Pearl brings the gentle healing power of the sea. It is a stress relieving stone; relaxing, soothing and calming to the emotions. It’s generally opaque to translucent in appearance and is typically white, cream or off-white in colour. However, you’ll also come across gray, silver, yellow, black, blue-green and red varieties.
